Kano State Government Repairs NAWOJ Bus as Process for New One Nears Completion
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kano State Chapter, heartily expresses its profound appreciation to the Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the repair of the Association’s operational bus, even as the process of providing a brand-new bus is ongoing.
The Association is particularly grateful to the Director General, Press and Public Relations to the Governor, Alhaji Sunusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, through whose office the NAWOJ bus was repaired and restored to near brand-new condition.
NAWOJ Kano notes with happiness that the repair of the bus has significantly eased the movement of its members and enhanced the smooth coordination of the Association’s activities. Prior to the intervention, members often had to commute using tricycles to attend assignments and programmes, which posed challenges to collective participation and efficiency.
With the repaired bus now in use, NAWOJ members can conveniently move together for official engagements, trainings, advocacy visits, and community outreach programmes—thereby strengthening unity, safety, and productivity within the Association.
The Association prays for the speedy completion and delivery of the proposed new bus and commends the Kano State Government for its responsiveness and support to women journalists in the state.
NAWOJ Kano also uses this opportunity to wish the present administration a successful tenure and a smooth, peaceful, and honourable landing, while assuring the government of its continued support in promoting responsible journalism, peace, and development in Kano State.
Once again, NAWOJ Kano salutes the Kano State Government for this thoughtful intervention and reaffirms its commitment to professionalism and service to society.
